Visit Iowa Law
A wide array of firms, government agencies, and other employers interview at Iowa every year. And why wouldn’t they?! Our students are first rate. Most of the major firms from Iowa, Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Phoenix participate in on-campus interviewing in the fall, as do various California, Washington, DC, New York, and Texas firms. Several major national firms have recognized Iowa as one of their most reliable sources for new associates because of their previous success with our terrific students.

The College of Law participates in the Law School Connect videoconferencing network, which enables law firms, judges, and nonprofit employers to remotely interview Iowa students via videoconferencing equipment and network connectivity in place in the law school. We also facilitate interviews using Skype and FaceTime. If you let us know what you want, we will take care of the details. Contact Craig Spitzer to set up a remote interview.
Presenting at Iowa
We welcome employer involvement in our career programming. Students look forward to the programs employers present, which can cover topics such as interview skills, various practice areas, life in a particular city, or learning to be a successful summer associate. We would love to have you work with us on an event for our programming series. To organize a program for Iowa students, please contact Career Services. We’re eager to hear from you.
Our students are great. Their dedication to hard-work and professional success is the reason employers come to our campus each and every year. Here is a complete look at statistics about our students.
Employers who do not visit the Iowa Law campus can still register and post position information through the Symplicity Career Management System. There, firms can indicate an interest in receiving résumés. Please follow the instructions for job postings in Symplicity.
