Title IX Officer and Director of Human Resources Equity and Diversity  Policies and Procedures

Description of what you do:

Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President of Human Resources Management (AVP/HRM) and reporting to the President, responsible for the administration of the University’s Equal Opportunity Office and Title IX. Conducts timely, fair and objective investigations for discrimination, harassment and retaliation according to University policy and Executive Orders. Conducts investigations filed with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (CDFEH), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Office for Civil Rights and makes recommendations to the AVP/HRM for appropriate action. Participates in EEOC mediation hearings. Writes discipline notices and represents the campus at State Personnel Board hearings. Prepares cases for trial. Reviews and approves recruitment analysis reports for staff and administration to ensure fair and equitable hiring practices. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws. Provides training to the campus community related to Equity and Diversity. Engages in the interactive process regarding reasonable accommodation in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).

Your interests outside of work:

I like running, yoga, gardening, landscaping, fashion, makeup, reading, hosting tea parties, socializing with my friends and sorority sisters and  spending time with my family.
