Gabriel Fox, 2L
San Diego, California
Gabriel Fox first began considering law school after discussions with friends who were working toward their J.D., but it was a visit that sealed the deal.
“I knew I wanted to law school when I visited my first law school and sat in on a class,” says Fox. “I thought it was a very stimulating environment and wanted to be a part of it.”
After earning bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Fox began applying to law schools.
Now a student at Iowa Law, Fox volunteered as a representative for the Student Bar Association during his 1L year. This fall, he’s looking forward to working as a research assistant for Iowa Law Professor Mihailis Diamantis and working as a student ambassador, where he says he’s looking forward to meeting alumni and new students. Fox will also be Iowa Law’s Foundation representative this fall.
Though Fox is currently working in a business law setting and might like to work for the government, he says he’s open to practicing any area of law after he completes his studies in May 2018.
