Iowa Law welcomes Megan Graham to the faculty

The University of Iowa College of Law is pleased to announce that Megan Graham has joined the faculty as clinical associate professor and director of the Technology Law Clinic. Professor Graham is a nationally recognized expert in technology and surveillance issues as they relate to the criminal legal system. Before coming to Iowa Law, she served as clinical supervising attorney for the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic at the School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.

Iowa Law's Moot Court team of third-year students—Isabelle Breitfelder, Mike Hegarty, and Kameron Reed—submitted the nation’s top-scoring Respondent’s brief, tied for second place overall for briefs, and made it to the quarterfinals in New York City.

Iowa Law has seen near perfect job placement numbers over the last 3 years years with 98.1% job placement in 2022, 99% job placement in 2021, and 100% job placement in 2020.

This year, the Hubbell Environmental Law Initiative created and launched the first environmental moot court team in Iowa Law’s history. The three-person Iowa Law team is competing in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition (NELMCC) February 22-24 at Pace University’s The Elisabeth Haub School of Law.

In 2022, Lex enrolled in the Advanced Standing Program at Iowa Law, drawn not only by the program’s efficiency but also by the positive testimonials from friends who had followed the same path. During his first summer of law school, Lex worked as a Summer Associate at Dechert LLP in New York City, New York, where he will return after graduation. Lex credits his readiness for the real-world legal landscape to the guidance and teachings of his professors at Iowa Law.
