Your favorite part of your job:

My favorite aspect of working as a Judge Advocate is contributing to the mission of the U.S. Navy in a meaningful way while also developing as an attorney thanks to exposure to a wide-range of legal issues.

Your interests outside of work:

Outside of work, my personal interests are fitness, travel, and sports.

What do you wish your 1L/2L/3L self knew about the job search:

For those interested in the military JAG programs, they should start looking into the internship application the fall of their 1L year because the military closes their application window for internships much sooner than most civilian law firms. Because career services wouldn't normally speak to them that soon, they need to be tracking it on their own. The 2019 deadline for the Navy JAG internship application is January 18.
