Participating on diversity panels with Dean Collins Byrd and with Professor Adrien Wing on diversity initiatives as a law student.  Constitutional Law with Professor Todd Pettys was my favorite class.  Working with Dean Carin Crain in the Career Services

Description of what you do:

I negotiate contracts in support of clinical research studies conducted by the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) at Duke University. I also serve as the subject matter expert on data-related contract language for the DCRI Contracts Management group.

Your interests outside of work:

 I remain active in the South Asian community, I have served as President of Young Jain Professionals and on boards for local organizations.  I enjoy exploring the vegetarian food scene in the Triangle area and the scenic outdoors of North Carolina.

What is your favorite movie:

The Sandlot

What do you wish your 1L/2L/3L self knew about the job search:

Law school can be extremely high stress, do your best to find strategies to decrease the pressure and think long term.

What advice do you have for success in summer positions:

The old adage that goes "dress like the position you want, not the position you have" applies to more than your clothing - act like a professional in the position that you want, rather than only the role of a summer intern.
