Embarrassingly, it might be watching Jersey Shore with my friends. I developed a really great, tight-knit group of friends at Iowa. We bonded over late night studying, tailgating football games, surviving Iowa winters, and, of all things, watching Jersey

What is your pinnacle career goal:

Oh my goodness- I have no idea. I want to do work that I find interesting and that I believe has a positive impact. If I can keep finding jobs that meet these terms throughout my career, I will be happy.

Description of what you do:

I work very hard to stay on top of any new developments in the field of immigration-- this responsibility alone takes up a good amount of my day. I field any questions from a variety of groups, including the press, lawmakers, or other stakeholders. I work on both long term and short term research publications. With all of this, my goal is to infuse smart analysis and policy recommendations into the public conversation around immigration.

Your interests outside of work: My family. I have a one-year old son. Being a new parent has been all-consuming.
