Susan Palmer has 34 years of experience in Admissions and Financial Aid in both private college and public university settings. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, she accepted a position as an Admission Counselor at Cornell College, and was subsequently promoted to Assistant Director of Admissions there. Several years later she returned to school, completing her master's degree at the University of Iowa. She then accepted a position with the University of Iowa's Office of Student Financial Aid where she worked for ten years. In 1994 she left her position as Assistant Director of Financial Aid and accepted the newly created position of Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at the College of Law. While at the College, she has served as Acting Director of Admissions and is currently the Director of Financial Aid and Research Assistantships. During her tenure at The University of Iowa she co-chaired the five year review of the Student Loan Accounting Department and served on the search committees for the Assistant Dean of Admissions at the College of Law and University of Iowa Undergraduate Admissions Counselors.Susan has held numerous leadership positions within state and regional professional Admissions and Financial Aid Associations. She was honored with the Presidential Award for her contributions to the Iowa Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and twice honored with the Committee Member of the Year Award of the Midwest Association of Financial Aid Administrators.
