What did you come to law school to become:

I came to Iowa law with the very vague notion that I wanted to be someone useful -- someone who really knows and masters a craft as opposed to one with the grandest ideas of social change but littlest skills to execute. I am still far far away from master

Your favorite Iowa Law memory:

I always recall with fondness those snowy nights when I left the law school building with my best friend after a day of good work, chatting and complaining away.

Description of what you do:

As a general practice attorney, I advise clients in both litigation and transactional matters. Commonly conducted work include estate planning, family law, real estate transactions, and contract disputes.

Your favorite part of your job:

I have a lot of respect for my colleagues' legal minds and skills, and their commitment to the community. Luckily for me, they are also great people to work with!

Your interests outside of work:

I like to read about history, politics, and any other things about the tragedy and triumphs of the human race. I am also an aspiring gardner.

The Lord of the Rings

What advice do you have for success in summer positions:

There is no magic in success. Be diligent, respectful, thoughtful, and ready to learn, and you will done fine.
