Black History Month Lecture - "I Still Can't Breathe" promotional image

Professor Marcella David has spent her career as a scholar and advocate for civil rights and human rights. Professor David began her academic career at the University of Iowa, where she taught civil procedure and international law and served as Special Assistant to the President for Equal Opportunity and Diversity and Associate Provost for Diversity. She then served as provost at Florida A & M University, Florida's only public historically Black university, where her focus was to promote access and student success. Most recently, Professor David was Provost at Columbia College Chicago, a liberal arts college with a creative arts focus, where she worked to provide students with the skills "to author the culture of their times."
