The University of Iowa offers highly competitive tuition compared to its peer institutions. Out-of-state students can also qualify for resident tuition during their second and third years of study if they serve as law research assistants for faculty or the college. Out-of-state students can qualify for resident tuition during their second and third years of study if they serve as law research assistants (LRAs). Students who apply and receive these positions earn an income, health insurance, and can reduce their potential debt load with in-state tuition.
