Wildlife Field Day with HELI, ELS, and the Iowa Raptor Project promotional image

For those interested in spending more time with birds, we will be hosting a field trip to Macbride Nature Recreation Area on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day), where we will have a morning in the field with the Iowa Raptor Project learning about birds…up close!

We will meet at MNRA at 8:00 am, where we will do bird banding, hawk counting, and taking part in a citizen science project. Please note that we are meeting at an early time so that we can experience the field work during the coolest part of the day. We plan to be at MNRA from 8:00-11:30am.

After the field day concludes, we are planning to organize a social hour at Field Day in North Liberty to celebrate the field day and the beginning of the semester.
