Brian Farrell, associate professor of instruction, associate director of the Center for Human Rights, and director of the Citizen Lawyer Program, recently appeared on an episode of Iowa Public Radio’s River to River segment titled “Rural areas struggle to attract, maintain lawyers.”

Farrell discussed the critical shortage of rural attorneys in “legal deserts” nationwide and the resulting disparity between attorney availability and meaningful access to justice.
