The Conversation, an academic-focused news publisher, recently published an article from Jill Wieber Lens, the Dorothy M. Willie Professor in Excellence at the University of Iowa College of Law. Lens’ article, titled “Fetal autopsies could help prevent stillbirths, but too often they are used to blame mothers for pregnancy loss,” centers around the disparity in how fetal autopsies are used primarily for criminalization rather than prevention of stillbirths.

Lens also had a piece published by Rewire News Group, titled “How Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ Fails Parents of Stillborn Babies—Analysis.” This article discusses how the Trump administration’s new policies exclude stillbirth parents from receiving the same financial benefits offered to other parents.
