Neda Barrett joined Iowa Law as our first Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Global Engagement and Senior Human Resources director in Fall 2020.
She has served Iowa Law as our Senior Human Resources fellow since April 2019 during which time she actively participated in the College of Law’s DEI Committee, strategic planning group, and this past summer was a member of the Iowa Law Anti-Racism Action Committee.
Prior to joining Iowa Law, she worked in a joint appointment with the College of Law as a Senior Human Resources fellow and the College of Dentistry as a Departmental Administrative Specialist. In 2019-2020, she also served as HR Advisor for the P3 Project. At the University of Iowa, she’s been an HR Leadership Fellow and was previously the Director of Operations at the University of Iowa Obermann Center. She has worked as a program manager for Undergraduate Experiences in Academic Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver.
Her Master’s Degree is in International Business Studies and Economics from Vaxjo University in Vaxjo, Sweden. She has studied at the University of Malaga in Malaga, Spain and at the University of Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain as well as studied abroad at the St. Louis University.
