CCC Town Hall with Interim Dean Pettys
The CCC invites all students and staff to join us for a town hall meeting with interim Dean Todd Pettys. This is an opportunity to discuss important matters concerning our university and share your perspectives. Don't miss this chance to be heard and stay informed! The Town Hall will be held on March 3, 2025 in Levitt Auditorium.
Josephine Gittler Honorable Scholarship
This scholarship is for a student with Autism attending the University of Iowa College of Law or an Advocate in Training. One scholarship will be given for this scholarship up to $1,000.
Students are encouraged to apply online at: http://autismia.com/josephine-gittler-honorable-scholarship/. Two Letters of Reference are required.
Applications are due on March 15th. Application requirements can be found at www.autismia.com. Scholarships will be given for the fall semester each year, and winners will be announced in April.
Summer Grants Program is Accepting Applications for Summer 2025
1Ls & 2Ls: The Summer Grants Program has funds available to ease the financial burden of Iowa Law students working in unpaid summer positions (including judicial chambers). Several grants are available, including funds raised by the Equal Justice Foundation. Check out the descriptions and requirements of available grants in the Instructions & Information document, and then start your application at our website, https://law.uiowa.edu/summer-grants-program.
Students may apply at any time, once they have secured a position; awards of $1000 per student will be made on a rolling basis, while funds remain. Additional specialized awards are available; students must apply by April 1, 2025.

George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy
The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) has a scholarship program for students enrolled in an accredited School of Law. The George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy is for full-time graduate students with a moderate to profound hearing loss who are attending an accredited law school full-time. Three scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded for the 25-26 academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
- You use listening and spoken language as your primary mode of communication.
- You have a pre-lingual hearing loss (diagnosed prior to your fourth birthday).
- Your hearing loss must be bilateral and in the moderately-severe to profound range.
- You have been accepted at or are enrolled in an accredited law school as a full-time student for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Applications must be submitted online as a single pdf document to scholarships@agbell.org. by March 15, 2025. Questions can be sent to that email as well.

Hudson County Bar Foundation Scholarship
The Hudson County Bar Foundation will award scholarships to students who are attending law school or who have been accepted to law school for the September 2025 – May 2026 term.
The Hudson County Bar Foundation Scholarship Fund is one of the oldest providers of financial assistance to Hudson County law students. Esteemed members and families of the Hudson County legal community have funded these 52 scholarships.
Students must be:
- Bona fide residents of Hudson County;
- Must demonstrate financial need;
- Must provide two (2) current Letters of Recommendation and;
- Must account for appropriate academic standards.
