Seven faculty at the University of Iowa College of Law have been named to endowed positions. "Endowed faculty positions advance the College of Law and its faculty in transformative ways,” said Dean Kevin Washburn.

This fall Iowa Law is proud to welcome four new faculty to the Boyd Law Building. Collectively, their work focuses on some of today’s most pressing issues including environmental law, criminal justice, education policy, and social change.

By the time Scott Selix (JD14) was a 3L at Iowa Law he saw an opportunity to get back into the craft beer industry. He later started his own brewery in Des Moines, IA—Lua Brewing.

This past year was one of listening and learning. We worked hard to make data driven and community informed decisions to create lasting and meaningful impact. Tactics included everything from listening sessions to multiple surveys to hear from students, faculty, and staff. Read the full report.

The University of Iowa College of Law announces the creation of an Alumni-led council, committed to bolster diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Alumni DEI Council is a select group of Iowa Law’s alumni who foster accountability in maintaining and increasing DEI efforts at the College of Law.
