Biography
Overview
Lorraine Gaynor (11JD) is an assistant professor of legal analysis, writing, and research.
Prior to teaching at Iowa Law, Professor Gaynor was an attorney with Iowa Legal Aid, a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal assistance to low-income Iowans in civil cases. Professor Gaynor represented clients with housing and public benefits cases and represented farmworker clients with employment cases through Iowa Legal Aid’s Farmworker Rights Project. From 2011-2013, Professor Gaynor worked as a judicial law clerk and attorney advisor in the Executive Office for Immigration Review, an agency of the U.S. Department of Justice, through the U.S. Attorney General’s Honors Program.
