Title: Convergence Spaces : What are they? and why topologists should care

Abstract: In this talk, I will describe an abstract notion of space called a convergence space. These spaces include all topological spaces and provide an abstract setting to study types of convergence which are not described by a topology. I'll cover some basic point-set topology of these objects and a theorem providing necessary and sufficient conditions for such a space to be topological.
