KANSAS CITY, Mo. (January 13, 2026) — Seyferth Blumenthal & Harris is thrilled to announce member Bruce A. Moothart has been elected as managing member of the firm, effective January 1, 2026. Moothart has been elected by the firm’s voting members to succeed Kimberly A. Jones, who served in the role since 2016.

“Bruce is a strong, talented leader who will continue our firm’s positive trajectory and build our firm into the future,” Jones said. “He has the experience and knowledge necessary to help continue our firm’s legacy and growth. A member of the firm since 2014, Moothart has developed a successful practice focused on representing businesses and professionals in complex litigation matters, representing clients in lawsuits in more than 20 states and taking cases to trial in seven states. His experience and knowledge will allow him to execute on firm objectives and manage the firm’s growing team and professional staff.

Moothart has more than 20 years of experience counseling and defending lawyers on ethical charges, day-to-day issues and malpractice claims. Moothart also has extensive experience in representing policyholders and insurers in coverage-related cases and has counseled clients and represented them in litigation in hundreds of such matters.

Moothart earned his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and both a Master of Business Administration and undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
