Emily Reagh Harris recently rejoined Dentons law firm after a decade in-house at TSI Group Co., Ltd., where she served as Worldwide Chief Intellectual Property Counsel and General Counsel. She led legal operations and managed a global portfolio of more than 300 patents and trademarks, advising on product development, commercialization, and strategic growth across more than 35 countries.
Drawing on this in-house experience, along with 12 prior years in private practice, Emily helps clients in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, human health, and animal health industries with a broad spectrum of intellectual property and commercial matters.
After earning her degree in molecular biology from Grinnell College and before entering law, Emily conducted biotechnology and clinical research. She worked in a research laboratory at Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., focusing on the molecular biology of oilseeds.
Additionally, she spent time in an immunology laboratory at Northwestern University Medical School studying leukocyte adhesion, and in human clinical research at the University of Chicago, where she supported studies involving etanercept in gastroenterology patients.
While attending the University of Iowa College of Law, Emily held an externship in the chambers of the Honorable Robert W. Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa and served as a research assistant to Professor Randall P. Bezanson, focusing on First Amendment issues.
