The foundation is made up of University of Iowa College of Law alumni, students, faculty, and the dean who all work to advance the mission of Iowa Law.

The Iowa Law School Foundation (ILSF) recently elected two new alumni members and two student members to its membership. The ILSF Board meets twice a year at Boyd Law Building and works to support alumni relations, fundraising, endowment management, and programming.

Alumni members  


Jill De Young (99JD)

Jill De Young graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned her JD, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1999. De Young has been the senior vice president and director of administration at Hills Bank since 2024. Prior to that, she worked in various roles for the University of Iowa College of Law from 1999 until 2023 and served as chief of staff from 2014 until 2023. She is a member of the Community Impact Council and the Campaign Cabinet for United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties and is a grant reviewer for the Community Foundation of Johnson County.

Kameron Dodge (20JD)

Kam Dodge graduated from Northwestern University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his JD from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2020. As a law student, he received the Donald P. Lay Faculty Award and served as senior editor on the Iowa Law Review. Dodge currently serves as deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary of Triumph Financial, Inc., a NYSE-listed financial and technology company focused on transportation payments and banking. He also serves as a national security law attorney in U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps, with a focus on the Indo-Pacific region. Dodge previously practiced with Sheppard Mullin LLP and Jackson Walker LLP, counseling startups and advising on mergers and acquisitions involving regulated and government-facing businesses. Prior to law school, Dodge served on the legislative staff of Sen. Chuck Grassley and worked at the National Association of Manufacturers, providing strategic counsel to manufacturing companies on their public policy goals and managing relationships with the association’s board of directors.

Meaghan Coble

Meaghan Coble will graduate with a JD from Iowa Law in 2026. Prior to attending law school, Coble worked as an elementary music teacher in the Kansas City area where she also performed professionally as a vocalist. Highlights of Coble’s time at Iowa Law include being a student writer on the Iowa Law Review, gaining hands-on experience in both the Appellate Advocacy and Trial Advocacyprograms, and competing in the National College Athletics Infractions Competition, where her team won second place for Best Brief. After graduation, she will begin her legal career as an associate attorney in the Employment & Labor group of Dentons LLP in Kansas City.  

Jake Pappas

Jake Pappas will graduate with a JD from Iowa Law in 2027. A native of Canton, MI, Pappas is in his 2L year. This past summer, he interned at Midwestern Trading Company, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with plans to work at Dentons with its corporate practice group in Kansas City next summer. Pappas currently serves as co-president of the Iowa Student Bar Association, writes for the Iowa Law Review, is a law research assistant, and is active with the Roman Catholic Law Society and the Business and Corporate Law Society.
