University of Iowa College of Law Clinical Professor Bram Elias spoke on Iowa Public Radio’s River to River about the presence of hundreds of people outside the Cedar Rapids Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in early September.

Elias is a clinical professor and has served as the director of the Immigration Law Clinic since 2015. He visited the ICE office with students and was asked about the similarities and differences between that day and prior immigrant check-ins.

Elias recounted his observations and discussed how the national and local anticipation compared to the federal government’s immigration goals with host Ben Kieffer.
