Professor Djamila Ribeiro will highlight the contributions of Black writers in regard to deconstructing the assumption of Brazil as a racial paradise. Drawing on key thinkers of Black feminism, Ribeiro will emphasize a critical, intersectional outlook with new forms of understanding and politics to break with the invisibility of Black women's lives.
