What the Law Could Be: A Conversation With the Hosts of the 5-4 Podcast

Remember that one morally bankrupt decision you read in CivPro that had you yelling at your textbook in frustration during a late night of reading? Did you find yourself wondering what could be done to fix it? Join the Iowa Law ACS chapter, Michigan Law NLG chapter, and the hosts of 5-4 as we discuss how the law could be used to advance equity and justice and some of the unfortunate precedents that stand in the way. 5-4 is a podcast about how much the Supreme Court sucks. Rhiannon, Michael, and Peter “dissect and analyze the Supreme Court cases that have dissolved our liberties like cotton candy into water,” and “blocked out America’s sun like a California brushfire.”

We’ll chat about the opinions and justices that we love to hate and hear from the hosts about their vision for a better American legal system. Stop by on Zoom (https://proxy.qualtrics.com/proxy/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fumich.zoom.us%2Fj%2...) from 5-6:15 pm CST on Tuesday, April 20th for some laughs, learning, and in all likelihood some language we are grateful is protected under the 1st Amendment. Hope to see you there!
