Perhaps you graduated this year. You might have graduated last year. Maybe you even took your last exam 20 years ago. Don’t worry: we haven’t forgotten you. We aren’t the “Internships and First Jobs Office,” after all. We are here for you throughout the duration of your career. Let us know what we can do to help.

Alumni of all years are welcome to use Career Services for personal and professional advice and advocacy, career exploration and transitions, strategic job searches, alumni connections, and alternative career opportunities. Assistance is available with personal appointments, phone appointments, e-mail, résumé reviews, mock interviews and more. Please don't hesitate to contact Career Services at any time in your career.

Personalized Services

Each year approximately 65 percent of students from the College of Law leave the state to begin their careers. And each year we hear from alumni who wish to return to Iowa to live and work. Whatever your situation happens to be, we want to help.

The College of Law has established a confidential and personalized program to assist alumni with their return to Iowa. These services include:

  • Career Counseling
  • Transition Strategies
  • Strategic Networking
  • Advocacy

We are building a network of alumni and employers who want to help other alumni relocate back to Iowa. This network is not limited to the practice of law. Iowa has developed a rich and vibrant economy that also needs professionals with legal training to enter business, education, public service, and government. Our goal is to help you clarify your interests and needs in preparation for meaningful conversations with key decision makers in your field. To discuss your plans contact Career Services.
