Iowa Law School announces faculty appointment for Lorraine Gaynor

The University of Iowa College of Law is pleased to announce that Lorraine Gaynor, who earned her law degree from the Iowa Law School in 2011, will join its faculty as assistant professor of legal analysis, writing, and research. Professor Gaynor currently serves as senior staff attorney for Iowa Legal Aid, a nonprofit organization that provides legal assistance and education to low-income and vulnerable Iowans. She will begin her appointment in August 2024.

For the 4th consecutive year, the University of Iowa College of Law has landed a spot on the Go-To Law Schools: Big Law report. This annual report ranks the top 50 law schools by percentage of 2023 juris doctor graduates who took associate positions at the nation’s 100 largest law firms.
Iowa Law welcomes Megan Graham to the faculty

The University of Iowa College of Law is pleased to announce that Megan Graham has joined the faculty as clinical associate professor and director of the Technology Law Clinic. Professor Graham is a nationally recognized expert in technology and surveillance issues as they relate to the criminal legal system. Before coming to Iowa Law, she served as clinical supervising attorney for the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic at the School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.

For the graduating class of 2023, 99.8% have secured full-time jobs within ten months of graduation—another strong year for employment. Iowa Law has seen near perfect job placement numbers over the last 3 years years with 98.1% job placement in 2022, 99% job placement in 2021, and 100% job placement in 2020.
